battlefield-tour.com
battlefield-tour.com is an In the footsteps sister site that is intended to complement In the footsteps's Battlefield Tour activities. If you would like to know more about our battlefield tours please visit www.inthefootsteps.com. We hope that you find the information contained within its pages useful.
When touring the battlefields we see a wide variety of sites. Some of these have special meaning to the people who we are guiding, whilst others are the more visited locations and memorials. We would like to share these experiences with you and these pages are designed to do just that.
At ‘In the footsteps…' we offer a military genealogy search service that can help you find out more about a relative or ancestor. We do not promise to find the answers to all of your questions, but if you know some basic information we are able to search a variety of sources that can potentially start to give you some of them.
Dedication
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
An extract from "For the Fallen" by Laurence Binyon
This website is dedicated to preserving the memory of those who fought for their country so that we may enjoy the freedoms we have today.
